World Airports
Two web sites that provide good information
and links to airports around the world
are airlinecodes.co.uk
and AZworldairports.com.
Difficult to say which site provides
the most direct links to airport web
site but there're both worth a visit.
Airports on the Net
world-airport-codes.com
provides data on almost 9500 worldwide
airports, but does not link to their
official web sites. Not all airports
will have a web site and a good percentage
of these 9500 are non-passenger airstrips
or military but it's NawtNets aim to
find you as many as possible. AZworldairports.com
has just over 700 on one page, whilst
airlinecodes.co.uk
provides links on each airports record.
Airport codes
Visit www.iata.org/ps/publications/codes/demo
to find a 3-letter IATA airport code
or location identifier. This code is
used extensively in global reservation
systems. The ICAO 4-letter code is not
used in any global system that is in
general use by the public. Another good
provider of codes data is world-airport-codes.com |
