Airline Alliances

Scheduled Airlines are intrinsically linked through IATA whose focus is on ticketing and pricing. Other associations have been forged between groups of airlines that are called Alliances. The main focus of these Alliances are mutual cooperation on routing, group purchasing of fuel and airport services, such as baggage handling, catering and check-in operations.

There are a number of regional alliances around the world but there are just three international passenger airline alliances and one international cargo airline alliance, their logos can be found below.
